Emily Ratajkowski attended the Loewe menswear spring-summer 2024 fashion show in Paris and made a bold fashion statement by wearing a massively oversized black leather trench coat with sleeves that covered her hands and matching knee-high boots, with no clothes underneath. When asked about her choice of attire in the summer heat, she responded, "Inappropriately, obviously. Look at me, I'm sweating so much. I'm naked underneath this." She also accessorized her look with oval-shaped sunglasses and a puffy, muted green purse, and styled her long brunette hair in loose waves with a middle part. This is not the first time Emily made a statement at a Loewe fashion show. Previously, she arrived at the Loewe fall-winter 2023 show wearing a phallic plant as a top, and at the brand's spring-summer presentation, she opted for a plunging Canadian tuxedo1.
The Loewe show, held at Paris Fashion Week, was designed by Northern Irish designer Jonathan Anderson and was inspired by the works of sculptor Lynda Benglis. The collection explored themes of sparkle and elongated form, reimagining traditional menswear. The show featured high-waisted trousers with surreal heights, sequins and crystals adding a festive disco-era energy, and deceptively ordinary blazers, coats, and knits that were transformed into gestural artworks through Anderson's cuts. The palette consisted of soft pastels, blues, blacks, and khakis, offset by accessories such as crystal-embellished sunglasses and a crystal hummingbird on a shredded brocade top. The runway was also a stage for the artworks of Lynda Benglis, with three of her modernist fountains lining the catwalk2.
